Craig Eddie

Director and Principal Ecologist
Craig has been called the David Attenborough of our region.

He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of fauna, flora, vegetation and landscape management, having spent 30 years in the field. This makes him highly regarded among government and industry peers and has earned him respect in both the scientific and local communities.
Favourite species and why
Well of course mine has to be a snail, of which there are many choices, but at the top is the Manus Island Tree Snail or Emerald Green Snail (Papustyla pulcherrima). Why – because it’s spectacular, it’s a flagship for threatened species conservation and there’s nothing else like it on the planet!

Craig's main areas of expertise

  • Ecological assessments for the coal seam gas and construction industries
  • Pre-clearance surveys for animal breeding places, rare and threatened flora/fauna, special least concern flora and weeds
  • Whole of property and landscape-level biodiversity assessments
  • Third party technical reviews
  • Remote area field work
  • Land snail surveys and identification
