As scientists, we love conducting research. 

But for us, this goes deeper than publishing scientific papers. 

Our world is constantly changing, and so are the requirements of our partners and clients. It is vitally important to us to stay ahead of the game, so that we can ensure we’re always providing you with the most up-to-date information.

This means you can trust the data we provide you and use it to help you make informed decisions. It also means you can focus on what you do best and rest assured that you are operating in the best interests of this beautiful and multifaceted environment.

Our experience

We have been commissioned to undertake in-depth research on various threatened species, including the Yakka skink (Egernia rugosa), Dunmall’s snake (Furina dunmalli) and White-throated snapping turtle (Elseya albagula). 

Our research clients include:

  • The Queensland State Government (e.g. for the Methods to Market project)
  • Resource companies (who frequently engage us to undertake species or habitat research to reduce impacts or assist with approvals)

We also undertake our own private research. Some recent work includes:

  • Research into the land snails within the vine thickets, woodlands and grasslands of the Brigalow Belt Bioregion
  • Flora and fauna surveys with our ecotour partners on private properties
  • Investigating the contents of Barn Owl pellets to determine diet and use as a fauna survey tool.

Many of the specimens we have collected are now housed in research institutions including the Queensland Museum and Queensland Herbarium making them available to other researchers.
