BOOBOOK ECOLOGICAL CONSULTING
State government
The Queensland Government recognises that the state’s environmental assets provide essential life services – like clean air and water – to its population. On top of that, they underpin our people’s health, wellbeing and happiness, and significantly contribute to the state’s ongoing prosperity.
Over two decades, Boobook Ecological Consulting has been working closely with Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads to conduct ecological surveys along every main road in south west Queensland. These surveys have assessed the conservation values and potential risks to vegetation on roadside areas from roadworks.

Our expertise has also been called upon to:
- Collect information about vegetation types, rare flora populations, threatened fauna habitats and weed infestations
- Conduct research for the Queensland Department of Environment and Science (such as cooperative research projects on the Yakka Skink and Dunmall’s Snake habitat preferences)
- Conduct bird surveys and BioCondition assessments for the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Methods to Market project
- Conduct fauna surveys with Queensland Department of Environment and Science for a farm biodiversity project in the Maranoa Region.
