We are proud of our long-lasting relationships with both state and local governments, who recognise our expertise and engage us as partners to deliver projects which identify, explain and protect the ecological features and biodiversity of the region.
Boobook Ecological Consulting has contributed to a broad range of state government projects such as biodiversity appraisals and protected plant surveys, bird surveys and BioCondition assessments.
Our staff have also participated in expert panels, prepared interpretive signage for environmentally significant roadside areas and partnered in cooperative research projects.
At the local level, Boobook Ecological Consulting assists regional and shire councils to map weeds, identify the biodiversity values of stock routes, contributes information and photography for interpretative signage and has prepared bird watching brochures for the Quilpie and Balonne Shire Councils. Our team is also frequently contacted to help with fauna spotting and catching.
Boobook Ecological Consulting has built its success on decades I first-hand knowledge of the natural ecosystems of the southern Queensland drylands combined with practical understanding of the complex pressures that impinge on Australia’s fragile environment.
