Your role will include helping our senior ecologists with field-based flora, fauna and protected species surveys, data analysis, environmental impact assessments and report preparation.

Based in Roma, you will enjoy the community and freedom of a vibrant outback town with all the facilities you need, including schools, shopping, and local facilities. And you’re only a short flight from Brisbane.

Desirable skills

To be successful in the role you will need to:

  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification in ecology, environmental science or similar
  • Have a sound understanding of flora, fauna, biodiversity and threatened species surveying techniques
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a small, friendly team
  • Be accurate and methodical in record keeping
  • Have a curious, analytical and problem-solving approach
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a full or provisional manual drivers licence.
